Titolo: Aviano CTR
Post di: cessna172 il 11 Giugno 2013, 16:56:41
Hi guys,

For this summer I am planning a VFR trip around Europe. While planning im bouncing some problems, maybe someone can help me?

Im flying a Cessna 172. I am planning to fly LJLJ - LIPV, I need to cross the Aviano CTR to do that. The chart shows some VFR routes but they are starting from a completely other position. The VFR corridor C is excellent for me but its a ULM VFR routing at low level, am I allowed to enter this and can I fly higher? Is Aviano approach easy going in this? Or easy going at all ?

Second question: Does anyone know if it is allowed to depart S1 -> S2 when airborne from LIPV ?
Thank you in advance!

Hi C172,
You may follow both the coast or pass north of ronchi CTR
Along the coast you will be cleared at 1000 or 1500 (obviously you can ask for more, but…)
The annoying thing is you have to change many freq. (Ronchi Treviso Aviano Venezia)
Passing  along / above the C corridor is good. You must contact Aviano, and ask to them 2000, this should be given easily
Any case you have to arrive at LIPV along the coast (E-Lido di Jesolo is a known rep point).
S1-S2 are the standard arrive-depart fm-to LIPV fm-to SW
Ciao
G

Thank you for this information. Yes I will follow the ULM (C corridor) in the north of Ronchi CTR until I hit the suggested "VFR" route, and then turn down to the coast.

Can anyone tell me something about refuelling at LILH ? Is this possible for foreign visitors?

LILH have both Mogas e Avgas, also for visitors, but I suggest a ring: it has been closed for some time last year, I do not know how it is now.

E' evidente che non parli o leggi inglese  :D  ... è uno "straniero" che ha chiesto info a riguardo del CTR di Aviano visto che dovrebbe attraversarlo.
Ciao

am I allowed to enter this and can I fly higher?

normally the ULM corridors are not active. they are "hot" only on call by the allowed users and by the way keep in mind (when active) they are considered G airspace.

Is Aviano approach easy going in this? Or easy going at all ?

definitely vfr friendly ;-) . whatever route you're gonna plan you'll find a good service ;)

Thank you. But I could use it as a navigation aid by following that route so they know where I will fly ;-). And now hope for some good weather next month!

a quick follow up, Ronchi tower/approach cleared me all the way along the coast to Venezia, we had great weather :-).
